520 _aCBI report warns that the UK's domestic transport system is being outperformed by international competitors, including the US, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The survey of international businesses says that over 85% of senior business people believe investment decisions are influenced by the quality of transport, while almost 70% thought the UK transport system to be poor. CBI urges government to improve the planning process to speed up delivery and to increase long-term transport investment.
