520 _aAnalyses the responses to the first UK RICS membership survey, undertaken to start a continual feedback mechanism about members' views on RICS' organisational performance and their awareness and rating of services and benefits. There were 7 782 responses to the survey, representing a 15% participation level well above the industry average of 3-5%. The survey covered level of member involvement, feedback on faculty relevance, awareness of and satisfaction with RICS services. Indicates RICS current and future activities to improve member awareness and satisfaction levels, in particular with those services that scored poorly and work involving member communications and contact management. Very positive feedback was received about the value of RICS qualifications, the high standards and ethics of the profession, the effectiveness of RICS as a professional body and surveying as a career choice.
