| 520 | _aThe latest Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply's report on the UK services sector records in October the fastest rate of activity expansion since November 1999. The seasonally-adjusted "CIPS/Reuters business activity index" rose to 59.1 from 58.7 in September, highlighting the strong turnaround in the sector following the subdued growth period during the first half of 2003. Both levels of incoming new business and outstanding work continued to rise in October.
