520 _aRecognises the problems of retaining income in deprived areas. Looks at a range of initiatives aimed at generating income for local communities including one-stop-advice shops such as Community Links in East London, the Castle Vale Housing Action Trust's management of a local shopping centre development and its close partnership with Sainsbury's, and the Paddington Regeneration Partnership's creation of the Paddington Business Network aimed at encouraging local businesses to work closely together. Co-operation between businesses, public services and residents is the key for regenerating local communities.
