| 520 | _aThe Minister for housing and planning has confirmed in a written Commons statement that outline planning permission will be retained until statements of development principles have been shown to be an effective alternative. The take up and success of these statements will be reviewed two years after they come into effect and a further decision on removing outline planning permission will be made then. The provision that abolishes outline planning permission will be removed from the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Bill.
