520			_aBoth Cluttons and Knight Frank have decided to become Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs). This article discusses the current trend in converting to LLP. At present 93% of the 496 UK surveying firms questioned do not have LLP status but 72% of firms questioned are considering converting. Benefits of converting to LLP are discussed, whilst the views of various companies who are not considering converting are also examined. Also discussed is how changing to LLP can affect the working relationship with customers and the recruitment of new surveyors to existing companies.
