The MKi Observatory is a web-based portal, which aims to be a one-stop-shop source of information about Milton Keynes and its surrounding area for use by the public and all local stakeholders and aims to serve the future growth of the city. Partner organisations are the prime providers of the shared data. The site uses the latest mapping and data analysis technologies and provides geosets on planning constraints, location of major facilities, the Milton Keynes local plan and the Milton Keynes primary database of housing proposals and the location and use of non-residential properties. It will provide a host of benefits to the research community concerned with information in an urban and regional context.
