245 _aLennox Lewis v Panos Eliades, Ntinos Karis and Claire Kaissides
260 _c2005
520 _a[2005] EWHC 488 (Ch), 23 March 2005. Lennox Lewis (L) sought to enforce a judgment made in the US against the defendant (E), his former manager, by seeking a sale of a property owned by the manager. E claimed not to have any interest in the property since the property was in the name of another person, Mr Kaissides (married to E's cousin). However E could not prove how his cousin had been able to afford such a property and the court ruled that putting property in another party's name will not prevent a creditor ruling against that Property. "Held": E was held to have lied about the ownership of the property. If there had not been any doubt on E's evidence, L would have had to show on the balance of probabilities that E was the beneficial owner of the property
