Important advice to emerge from the case includes that practictioners should ensure that a specific expert witness in not named in the order for directions unless their performance at trial will definitely be effective. The defendant in the Hajigeorgiou case decided not to rely on evidence from the expert witness first instructed and the Judge found that the defendent needed the court's permission to rely on evidence of the second expert.
