520			_aThe Home Builders' Federation's May 2005 regional survey of house builders shows levels of site visitors and net reservations deteriorating in May. However builders' optimism over their outlook for 2005 improves modestly with large companies more upbeat than smaller firms. Site visitors in May compared to the same month a year ago declined to -37% and net reservations to -48%. A balance of -31% house builders reported that prices fell in May but a +23% of builders expected sales to be higher in 2005 than in 2004, with large companies considerably more optimistic than smaller firms. Averaged over the last three months only Wales saw a rise in the level of net reservations with falls in all other regions. Only Scotland and northern England have witnessed rising prices over the past three months. Charts and tables.
