Looks at the work of engineers Atelier Ten and Arup in designing more energy-efficient buildings that use facilities such as passive and earth-coupled cooling and biomass-fuelled combined heat and power plants. Energy labelling will show the design intention of buildings and the design rating will have to be posted in larger public buildings.
