_aConstruction Manager _vNovember/December 2005, 20-21(2) |
|
| 520 | _aExamines how the construction industry is being encouraged to contribute towards meeting the government's target of 10% electricity generation from renewable sources by 2010. Grants will be made available for large-scale projects which use microgeneration technology, and Part L of the Building Regulations are likely to be amended to cater for renewables. Some local authorities are already using the 10% figure for non-residential developments. Concerns are however expressed at the high price of the new technologies, and a lack of installers. Also contains glossary of terms used for types of renewable technology. | ||
