|
| 520 | _aOutlines the main provisions of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, which comes into effect on 1 April 2006. The Order creates a single fire safety regime that applies to all non-domestic premises, and places responsibility for fire safety on the employer or person responsible for the premises. Greater emphasis is placed on fire prevention and precautions, and a more risk-based approach is introduced. The Fire Precautions Act 1971 and the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 are repealed, together with many other pieces of workplace fire legislation. | ||
