This article outlines the types of information that can be requested, the procedures to be followed, and reasons for refusing to supply information. At present, it is difficult to assess the impact of the regulations, but it is anticipated that as knowledge of them grows, more effective use will be made of them, particularly in PFI and land-use planning projects.
