520 _aRecites the facts of, and comments upon, "Carillion Construction Ltd v Devonport Royal Dockyard Ltd" ([2005] EWCA Civ 1358, L131780). The Court of Appeal held that an adjudicator can decide questions of interest under the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998, if the questions were properly referred matters of dispute, or the parties had agreed to include interest within the scope of the adjudication, or the adjudicator considered interest as a question necessarily connected with the dispute.
