520 _aPresents the full results of the January 2006 Home Builders Federation (HBF) regional survey of house builders. January saw a further improvement in the house building environment with larger builders appearing to benefit more than smaller companies. Net reservations rose, in comparison to a year ago, at a faster rate than in December 2005, the first increase on an annual comparison for 18 months. Site visitor numbers were virtually unchanged from January 2005. New home prices rose for the first time since July 2004 as the pace of increase in the use of sales incentives continued to slow. The industry outlook on sales in 2006 remains optimistic. Charts and tables.
