The INREV index grew to 460 funds worth Euros 297bn in 2005 with new additions in the last quarter 2005 introducing Euros 7.5bn of assets. Thirty five newly launched funds joined the database in 2005, down from 65 in 2004 but the average size of funds has grown. German open-ended fund managers control the lion's share of the assets followed by UK and US-based managers. Funds with assets of about Euros 65bn will close by 2010. Tables.
