This article finds that two years on it has become a successful and dynamic retail centre that has improved the city's appeal and image to the nation. However, more time is required before genuine retail growth prospects can return to the city. In terms of medium to long prospects, Birmingham as a whole appears to be strong, with 11.4 billion of investment planned for the wider area over the next ten years.
