Based on the Bird Triangle, a ratio used by the HSE to predict accident rates, all Morrison's staff have been issued with near-miss cards, which allow them to report trips, falls and spillages, lifting and carrying, and other incidents. After trend analysis, storyboards illustrating a number of near-miss scenarios have been issued to staff in an effort to raise their awareness levels.
