520 _aPresents the full results from the May 2006 HBF regional survey of house builders. Both site visitor numbers and reservations continued to run above May 2005 levels with a notable increase in reservations. May saw the fifth consecutive month of rises of new house prices with the rate of increase accelerating further. The rate of increase in the use of sales incentives decelerated in May. Activity had picked up most sharply in southern England and particularly in London but this has not been reflected in the price of new homes in the capital. The industry remains positive about the sales outlook for 2006. Charts and tables.
