Output in the third quarter 2006 rose by 1% in volume and by 3% in current prices compared to the second quarter of 2006. New work in the year to the third quarter 2006 was 4% higher compared with the previous year and rose by 2% from the second to the third quarter 2006. The number of employees (seasonally adjusted) in employment in July 2006 was 1% higher compared with April 2006, but remained unchanged when compared with July 2005.
