In the fourth quarter of 2006 the total volume of output also increased by 1% compared to the third quarter, and by 2% in current prices. In 2006, the total volume of new work was 5% higher compared with 2005 and rose by 1% in the fourth quarter 2006 compared with the third quarter. The number of employees in employment (seasonally adjusted) in January 2007 was down 3% compared with October 2006 and was down 1% compared with January 2006.
