520 _aRecent research reveals that, in spite of the Society for Construction Law "Delay and disruption protocol" (ISBN 0954383117), the UK construction industry lacks proficiency when it comes to analysing delays and cost overruns. The 2006 survey, conducted as part of the developing protocols for virtual prototyping international research project, examined the most useful analysis technique and the most frequently used software for analysing delays. The results indicate a lack of awareness of the protocol and its favoured techniques.
