Nuclear power stations are expected to be built as well as decommissioned, providing further potential for contractors. New gas and coal-fired power stations and wind farms are outlined. Non-renewable energy construction can be hampered by protest at construction sites. This has encouraged the government to proceed with renewable projects. The effects of these investments for contractors are discussed.
