520 _aThe latest Experian Business Strategies' "Focus survey of construction activity" reveals a slight slowdown in the rate of growth in March 2007, with the overall activity index falling two points to 59. Civil engineering remained the strongest sector, whilst the activity indices for the residential and non-residential sectors fell by three points and two points respectively. Many contractors reported healthy order books and a strong level of enquiries, although the outlook for employment was less optimistic than in February.
