Higher interest rates have not dampened new home demand. Visitors were lower than a year ago for the fourth successive month. Net reservations were higher than a year previously for the third month in succession. Visitors fell modestly, but net reservations rose modestly. New home prices continued to rise quite strongly, with house builders making greater use of sales incentives. Housebuilders are optimistic about prospects for new home sales in 2007.
