House builders have seen the sharpest year-on-year decline in net reservations since July 2005. Numbers of site visitors also declined. New home prices recovered by 3% after a similar dip the previous month. The use of incentives by housebuilders continued to increase markedly. House builders continued to increase their use of sales incentives, showing an increase of 36%. Despite the falling demand, there is optimism that sales in 2007 will outstrip 2006.
