520 _aThe latest Experian Business Strategies' "Focus survey of construction activity" reveals the industry hasn't yet come across liquidity problems, with the overall activity index rising by one point to 58 in October 2007, and the orders and tender enquiries indices increasing to 74 and 63. The residential and non-residential sectors were also buoyant, although civil engineering's index dropped by 18 points to 50. Many firms remained optimistic about future employment and construction activity is forecast to remain stable in November and December.
