The overall activity index was unchanged at 58, the orders index dropped to 68, and the civil engineering activity index fell to 46. The residential and non-residential sectors performed better, with their activity indices showing growth at 53 and 54 respectively. The industry is forecast to grow at a similar rate in December, with the rate of growth slowing marginally in 2008.
