520 _aConsiders the effect of recent legal decisions upon the extent of liability of professional advisers. Cases such as Watkins v Jones Maidment Wilson (L143449) have shown that limitation periods can be considered as starting on the date advice fails to be beneficial, rather than the date it is acted upon. This will take more cases out of the scope of the Limitation Acts. Considers earlier cases which were decided differently, but within a different mortgage framework. Suggests that fewer cases will be settled on limitation at preliminary stages.
