520 _aAnnual Estates Gazette salary survey shows that average salaries have fallen by 4% on last year (£51 180) and average bonuses have dropped by 19% since 2007. This is partially due to the fact that fee-earners are now typically bringing in 10% less remuneration for their firms than they were last year. Confidence in future pay increases has fallen by 36% since last year and actual salary rises have also fallen (albeit by a smaller figure). Salaries have fallen by the greatest amount in the Midlands and East Anglia, while greater London, the South West and Wales remain largely unaffected.
