520 _aA review of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) was carried out in October last year, leading to the production of the 50th update to the CPR. One of the most important areas of change was part 35 and its associated practice direction, which sets out how experts are used in civil matters. This will significantly alter the processes surveyors will need to follow when submitting expert evidence. RICS has produced a combined briefing and addendum to the "Surveyors acting as expert witnesses" document (see L145697).
