The report "Land grab or development opportunity? Agricultural investment and international land deals in Africa" was published in 2009, and was the result of collaboration between the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), analysing key trends and drivers in land acquisitions.
