520 _aColliers International's 2010 Midsummer Retail Report is the most positive since the property crash but has concerns about future growth in many areas of the market. The owners of the strongest retail outlets particularly in Central London have had a good recession and are recovering very well but weaker market areas are hindered by a glut of unwanted secondhand space. Only 25% of the 420 monitored centres showed a fall in prime rents between June 2009 and June 2010. Colliers are broadly optimistic about the next few years projecting 10.8% total returns to the retail sector in 2010.
