520 _aThe 13th annual RICS and MacDonald's rewards and attitudes survey completed by nearly 100 000 property professionals showed the average salary paid across the UK in 2011 to be £ 48 329, a 4% decrease on 2010. The regional divide in salaries persisted and the gender pay gap continued to widen. In 2011 chief executives and managing directors' average salaries rose by 2%. The overall average bonus size increased by 11%. Retail and rating were the biggest wage winners with Jones Lang LaSalle's Ulbrich top dog in the largest property services firms.
