520 _aForeign investors' interest in London commercial property is stronger than ever. In the last three years two-thirds of the London office investment market was purchased by overseas buyers (from 30 countries in 2011) with the trend continuing in 2012. Overseas buyers outweighed domestic investors for the first time in 2011. With the arrival of these foreign investors the typical asset hold period is likely to be 10 years or more compared to the three to five years typical of UK institutions.
