| 520 | _a"R v SOS for the Environment ex parte Tesco" QBD 30 August 1991 concerned a proposed superstore development in designated metropolitian green belt. Planning permission had already been granted for three sizeable schemes in the same area. The Inspector`s decision to grant planning permission due to the pre-existing planning permission was quashed by the SOS. In applying "Pehrsson v SOS for Environment" (1990 3 PLR 66), it was held that the SOS had been unreasonable in refusing permission. Hs decision was quashed. | ||
