Failure risk rate takes surprise upward turn

Average likelihood of tenant defaults in any sector rose by two basis points to 2.84% in Q1 2011. Surprisingly it was the office sector that drove the increase rather than any weakening in the retail sector. Exceptionally failure rates in the specialist logistics sector continued their fall since Q2 2009.
