Finds some business sectors seek to expand their property portfolios, including distribution, hotels and catering and construction. Finds that profitability and reducing costs remain the key business drivers; location and cost are the key factors influencing the decision to relocate; transport infrastructure is a major concern. The reduction of rate relief on empty properties is seen as having a negative effect, but this is not severe for most firms.
