"France: commercial update May 2004" published by RICS Policy Unit judges the French economy to have rebounded at the end of 2003, showing further strength into early 2004. Office market rents continue to fall but a slight recovery is expected in 2005. The retail market sees on-going expansion supported by consumer spending but the industrial market is been held back by lacklustre manufacturing recovery. Overall, the commercial property market should continue to enjoy a period of moderate, retail-led expansion.
