Re-examines through "Graysim Holdings Ltd v P&O Property Holdings Ltd" (HL ABS54198) the requirement of `occupation` of business premises by a tenant before they are able to claim a statutory renewal right. The court`s decision that a tenant loses any right to renewal if they sublet the operative parts of premises that are then used for business purposes, simplifies the law, but leaves questions of to what degree a tenant sublets.
