The Financial Services Authority plans to make an early start to its review of regulatory requirements bearing on soft commission practices of authorised financial services firms as discussed and agreed with HM Treasury. The FSA is already working on best execution of securities markets and intends to publish a consultation paper in 2002 with firm proposals for this area. Website: http://www.fsa.gov.uk
