The BSRIA briefing 'Building the Future' predicts that offsite construction will be used on only 10% of projects in 30 years time, contradicting the generally held view in the industry that a much higher figure will be achieved. It argues that better information is required to plan work investment in offsite activities, together with consistent workloads from government, generating repeat orders. At present, offsite construction constitutes 3% of total construction activities.
