Law briefing compulsory purchase and compensation update 2007 - 2007 - Journal of Property Investment and Finance 25(4) 2007, 410-415(2) .

Reviews two key compensation cases of the last 12 months. "Crowley and Jarvis v Liverpool PSDA Ltd and Liverpool City Council" ([2007] EWLands ACQ/47/2005, L138709) deals with all aspects of a disturbance claim, including backing a method to assessing compensation for goodwill which questions the traditional method, preferred by the tribunal for time immemorial. "Moto Hospitality Ltd v Highways Agency" ([2006] EWLands LCA/122/2005) is an unusual example of a successful claim under the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965 s10, culminating in a substantial entitlement to compensation.
