Reports on the cost increases of key trades over the last 10 years, using BCIS data. In particular, explains why certain trades (such as contractor-designed precast concrete, excavation, insulation, and plumbing) have risen in price much less, or more than the general trend. Table shows 10 year movement in key trade prices 1996-2006. Graphs show raw materials by type, input costs versus BCIS All-in Tender Price Index and BCIS All-in Tender Price versus RPI.
