Summary, etc. This consultation document outlines BCIS/BSi proposals for a Standardised Method of Life Cycle Costing for Construction (SMLCCC) as a UK supplement to ISO 15686: 5. The SMLCCC contains a data structure for presenting and producing life cycle costs, which is based on the BCIS elements and incorporates construction, maintenance, operation, occupancy and end of life costs. The consultation also summarises the objectives of a UK standardised method and explains why the quantity surveying profession need a standardised method. Comments required by 31 January 2008.
