Summary, etc. The House Builders Federation, the largest private developers' lobbying group in the UK, representing 300 firms in England and Wales, has adopted from 1 May 2005 a new brand, Home Builders Federation (HBF), to fit in with the sustainable communities agenda. HBF has also taken steps towards improving customer satisfaction in the house building industry by commissioning a buyers' survey. The survey will scrutinise the opinions of more than 40 000 new homebuyers over the next six months and shows the industry's commitment in taking forward the recommendations in the Barker Review.
