A DCLG consultation paper (L135908) suggested an definition policy by buying in renewable energy. However the DCLG's adopted standard requires feeding energy back into the grid. Argues that this may cause problems for housebuilders attempting to predict future policies and regulation. Suggests that a more easily defined target may be required to speed up developments, especially eco-towns.
