The Tenancy Reform Industry Group's code of practice is designed to stimulate diversification in the tenanted sector. DEFRA is consulting on amending outdated legislation to remove barriers to ensure diversification does not prevent tenancy succession and to create greater flexibility for landlords and tenants to agree rent review provisions, compensation payable at the end of a tenancy and the notice period to terminate a tenancy.
