QBD 17 November 1995. The applicants had first put a sign above their shop in 1976 with consent, the colour changed in 1986 and it enjoyed deemed consent. In 1992 and 1993 the applicants applied for express consent for a new sign, the local planning authority issued a discontinuance notice. The applicants argued the authority had not taken into consideration various points when making their decision. Application dismissed.
